Back to our Roots is a mother daughter team that hand pours each candle using plant-based soy wax. This is an eco-friendly choice that releases less soot during burning than paraffin wax candles. Back to our Roots expanded into some other scented products such as sprays, massage bars, a bath and body line, including our all-time favourite goat milk soak, as well as some home decor products.

 

Home of Back to our Roots one-of-a-kind dough bowls candles, cut and milled locally. Each one is hand carved and hand poured for a truly unique product.

 

Back to our Roots also offers a recycle program with the jars and dough bowls. Save money and recycle. Or you can use the dough bowls as a nice decor piece in your home.

 

 

 

 

Lisa and Courtney have always had a love for candles. “I think my love for candles began since birth, there was always a candle lit in our home. My friends still smell pumpkin to this day and say it smells like our home growing up. So this was inevitable” – Courtney.

 

They began making candles in 2019 as a hobby to do together. It was a great way to get together, bonding over a mutual love while making a healthy alternative for friends and family to burn candles.

 

Now a busy mom of two and a grandmother of four they are striving to become motivation in the local female community. You can do both!
